Over the weekend, I discovered a fun game jam event that celebrated the changing season (summer to fall) with the goal of making a cozy game. I mistakenly went to the Cozy Fall Jam 2022 event page, believing it to be the game jam event I’d seen earlier on Twitter.
It was not the same one. And I didn’t realize it until I was already 8 tabs into playing through some of the Cozy Fall Jam 2022 entries. No big deal! Now you just get two lists of great cozy games with fall/autumn themes.
The Cozy Autumn Game Jam was the game jam I’d seen on Twitter, and I’ll have a selection of favorites for you in the coming days. But for now, this is all about the Cozy Fall Jam 2022 event. Here are my favorites in no particular order.

My absolute favorite was Cozy Pumpkins. I loved the vibrant art, and the simple but exciting rush to carve pumpkins for the (strangely unclothed?) dudes in the festival square. Each townsman has a specific pumpkin carving combination that they want made and it’s up to you to fulfill their orders before the time limit expires. Successfully filling a request adds more time back to the countdown.
According to Husk on their Twitter account, the Cozy Fall Jam 2022 was their first game jam event. Hope it won’t be their last!
Congrats to everyone else who made the list as well, and to everyone who participated. I hope it was a sucessful learning experience regardless of the outcome!
