Willowbrooke Post is Coming Soon to Steam Early Access
Working in a post office has never looked so charming. When your parents mysteriously disappear, it’s up to you to keep the family post office running for a year.
I should point out that the gameplay trailer mentions a March 14, 2019, release, but I received an update from the developer that Willowbrooke Post will release on Steam Early Access on March 27.
Over the course of the year spent managing the post office, players will get to know members of the Willowbrooke community. How you choose to interact with characters can impact their opinion of you, so do your best not to laugh at Magnifique’s bold makeup.
If you do happen to offend someone, you can always bake them a cookie as an apology. Willowbrooke Post allows players to shop online for ingredients and cook up some stamina-refilling treats to keep you on your feet.
As someone who enjoyed the idea of Papers, Please, but felt that the game was too stressful and grim, Willowbrooke Post looks like a happier take on that style of gameplay. Managing individual customers while getting to know them over the year within a colorful post office is far more inviting then the drab, communistic world of Papers, Please.
Here’s to hoping Willowbrooke Post is just as successful as its gloomy predecessor.
