Wizards Tourney is an upcoming game from Spanish game development company a bonfire of souls. How grim.
The game features a dozen wizards from all around the world competing in a tournament to prove whose wand is the biggest, so to speak. This involves various trials set across what a bonfire of souls describes as six, “fantastical settings full of traps and challenges that will test all your magical talent.” The gameplay trailer shows off a few of these devilish trials and they all look wonderfully frustrating. From icy platforms with penguins torpedoing across, to a fireball-filled fight against a dragon.
The developer states on the game’s Steam store page that players can play with up to three others online and offline against the CPU. Wizards Tourney was selected to be part of the PlayStation Talents program, a global initiative created by Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain. You can read more about their program on the PlayStation Talents official website (English version).
Fans of Mario Party may want to keep their eyes out for Wizards Tourney, which is set to release on September 21 on Steam with a PlayStation 4 release date expected soon.
