Mercenary Kings, under development by Tribute Games.
The developers behind Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game have reunited to develop Mercenary Kings, a 2D shooter with an emphasis on teamwork and weapon creation.
Players control King, the worlds best mercenary, hired to bring down a criminal organization in South America.
Mercenary Kings will have 30-40 missions, local co-op, 20-30 primary weapons, achievements, and more.
Currently, Mercenary Kings is only for PC (Steam), but Tribute Games is not ruling out console. Macs will be supported at some point after the game launches.
Tribute plans to release Mercenary Kings, completely DRM-free.
Chivalry, under development by Torn Banner Studios
Torn Banner Studios has a pretty impressive looking medieval first-person-slasher(?) under development, here. Chivalry: Medieval Warfare seeks to capture the experience of truly being on a medieval battlefield.
From the Kickstarter campaign: “The game is skill-based and controls like a FPS, but instead of guns and grenades, players are given swords, shields, maces, battleaxes and longbows. Set in a fictional yet gritty and realistic world, players will fight in fast paced online battles besieging castles, raiding medieval villages and fighting for glory in the arena with up to 32 players.”
Chivalry is set to feature over 60 weapons, siege tactics, lush environments, and responsive real-time combat.
