Previews for Visually Impressive Indie Titles “Ravaged” and “Cradle”
These two indie titles came out of nowhere yesterday, and I can’t believe how I had not heard of them until now.
Both Ravaged and Cradle promise a visually engaging experience in a post-apocalyptic future.

Ravaged is built along the lines of the sand-box battlefield game, like the Battlefield games themselves. In a post-apocalyptic world, devastated by natural disasters, players will have to compete against opposing factions, the “Resistance” or the “Scavengers” in order to survive. Ravaged developers, 2 Dawn Games, boasts a roster that includes Battlefield 1942 modders responsible for Desert Combat, as well as veterans of Battlefield 2 development.
The Ravaged beta will begin soon, with the full game expected to launch this Spring.
Also, be sure to check out the footage of the gyrocopter in action!
Cradle, on the other hand, is much less violent, but arguably just as post-apocalyptic. The game takes place in the middle of nowhere, where the protagonist must figure out what exactly is going on, and repair their robotic companion using parts found in a nearby abandoned carnival. The concept seems akin to Dear Esther, (read the Dear Esther developer interview here), and if that is the case, than I am already sold on Cradle.
Expect to see Cradle for sale on Steam, this Spring.
