Elder Scrolls: Morrowind Overhaul 2.0 Mod Released

One of the benefits of the Elder Scrolls series is that modders (people who create unofficial modified content) have complete access to development tools and can craft some pretty incredible mods. For example, just hours after the release of Bethesda‘s latest Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim, the modding community had quick fixes and patches out faster than the development team did.

Even though Morrowind is nearly a decade old, the modding community is still pumping out real quality material. One mod in particular, the Morrowind Overhaul 2.0 mod, refreshes the landscapes of Morrowind, and does a pretty decent job of bringing the game’s visuals up to acceptable levels.

Below, you can see an image from the original Morrowind, and then an image from this Overhaul mod. Quite the difference.

And this is why I love PC gaming. Mods. Mods. Mods. I still have Half-Life 1 installed on my systems for the sake of mods.
