First Full Trailer for Pixar’s “Brave”

Pixar/Disney’s next film franchise, Brave, saw the release of its first trailer, earlier today.

Previously called, The Bow and the Bear, Brave centers on the story of a young Scottish princess, named Merida, as she defies gender-restraining customs to become the hero of her kingdom. I suppose along similar lines to Disney’s 1998 film, Mulan.

Brave was written by Brenda Chapman (The Prince of Egypt) and Irene Mecchi (Lion King, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules.)

The film will feature the voices of Kelly MacDonald (Lady Ravenclaw), Julie Walters (Mrs. Weasley) , Billy Connolly, Emma Thompson , Craig Ferguson, Kevin McKidd (“Soap” from Call of Duty) and Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid).

Brave is set to be released, June 22nd, 2012. Brave is Pixar’s 13th feature film.
