The trailer for the first major post-Cataclysm content patch has been released. Patch 4.1 will re-introduce heroes to the dangers of Zul’Gurub and Zul’Aman, while introducing a new level-85 quest chain into Stranglethorn Vale. Some of you may remember those two instances from the old days, famously known to drop those rare mounts…with patch 4.1 they will now drop new rare mounts for you to strive for in your adventures.
Besides the new lore to digest, Blizzard is introducing a “Find a Guild” system for players, which works very similarly to the “Dungeon Finder” system that has been in the game for quite some time.
To combat the dreaded Dungeon Que wait times, Blizzard has implemented a “Dungeon Call to Arms” event where incentives (a post-run goodie bag that could have Gold/Gems/Pets/Flasks/Mounts within) will be given to players who join the Dungeon Finder as Tanks and Healers, as there are never enough of those two classes to go around. Sadly, the only incentive that us DPS’ers get out of it is shorter wait times…but I can live with that.
For a complete run-down of all the changes, World of Warcraft’s Official Patch 4.1 Patch Notes is where you’ll need to quest.
